houston we have primer..

Well guys after some long nights in the cave we have pushed it to primer stage. i am so tired at the moment but am really satisfied with the results. three to four coats went on today with out to much trouble, just didn't fuss over everything this time just layed it out..left it out in the sun all day to bake hard. just did a test section with 400, 600 and a little bit of 800 wet sandpaper and was really happy with the finish. 

looking forward to the next few nights of sanding just love this part of the job, its really neat seeing it come together after so many hours of cutting and grinding.

once the body is sorted i will wrap up it up in plastic and move on to the doors and hood, so maybe you will see some color in a month or so, fingers crossed..

new camera..better pics!..budget gone..

I finally gave in to the wife's nagging and we got her a new camera...Canon 60d. she has waited a long time and has been very understanding with my endeavors..... wow what a piece of kit! the pics are amazing..
Starting to get the curve on the rear after hammering the dents and wobbles out. really hard to get the curve straight but looks okay. tonight just trying to get the lines to match so looks like alot of filler but most of it is coming off. this back end has been hit and repaired but is still a bit crunched not sure yet if i like it but the budget is tight with the new purchase [camera] and if i want a new back end its going to be months till i can get it so will keep working on this for now..

hours and hours...

had to reshape the front left lip was flatten by the previous guy who worked on it ,didn't see it before till i was sanding so couldn't leave it, come out nice...

this corner was a mess, was hammered in and was out of shape.still trying to get the curve back..also took the waves out of the right back corner

started striping back the layers back here, hoping to drag it out tomorrow and grind the whole thing back. i want to hammer and dolly this area first and if it doesn't want to go back i will cut and replace the whole rear. fingers crossed i really don't want to go there girl friend..
